The Conclusion of the "Blueprint" 12 Phase Series
"Let us not sleep as do others; but let us watch and be sober."
The word "sober" (1Thes.5:6) means to be well balanced. This is the balance! "I would have you wise unto that which is good, (i.e. God's Purpose and Plan for His Church), and simple concerning evil.(i.e. all about the antichrist and the destruction he will bring) Rom.16:19. There are many sermons and seminars on all the evils of the end time, and very few on the good purpose that God has for His Church. The Gospel is the good news!
The Lord is not slack concerning His promises!
God is right on time, according to His pattern. In the first century Church there were false prophets and teachers (2Peter.2:1) were saying, "where is the promise of His Coming? for since the fathers fell asleep (died), all things continue as they were."(2Peter.3:4) They (i.e. these false ministries in the Church) were saying nothing has changed. The apostle Peter said, these false ministries are "willingly...ignorant of, that..." THE SAME WORD that brought about the destruction of the flood, in Noah's day, is THE SAME WORD that is keeping this world "in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement." (2Peter.3:1-7) Everyone could see what Noah was building, yet they were blind (Matt.13:10-17, 1Cor.2:1-14) to God's purpose, because they wanted to be. The Bible says, "the world knew not until the flood came." (Matt.24:39) What was Noah's secret? "Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." (Gen.6:8, 2Peter.5:5)
God's time table is different than ours! We think in terms of generations, our father's father, etc. God's Redemptive Plan is in terms of thousands of years. (2Peter.3:8-9) Review Phase 3. For example: The Passover Lamb was kept for (4) four days, and at the end of the fourth day the Lamb was sacrificed to bring deliverance to the Children of Israel from Egypt. Review Phase 8. The apostle Paul interprets the Passover to be a "shadow" of Christ. (1Cor.5:7-8). From the time that Adam fell into sin until the crucifixion of Christ was 4000 years (i.e. four days. 2Peter.3:8-9) Why wait four 4,000 years? The reason is because there was an appointed time for Christ to be revealed.(1 Peter.1:18-20, Gen.3:15; 49:10, Deut.18:15) Hence the type showing four days. In the meanwhile animal sacrifices were offered to cover the sin until Christ came (Rom.5:13-14; 7:7-14, Heb.9:1-10;10:1) Consider this:The Old Covenant is God sitting "down first, (Luke.14:25-33) and counting the cost," of redemption BEFORE building, (i.e. placing redemption into action) This counting the cost required a blueprint (i.e. types and shadows) in order to measure the price. This price was the God offering up His only begotten Son (1Cor.6:20, 1Peter.1:18-20) who knew NO sin, to redeem us from sin. This why Jesus was not revealed immediately after Adams sin. (Note: Eccl.5:1-5) God was "sitting down first" and sketching out His plan / blueprint in the Old Covenant types and shadows. God was not being rash with His mouth, (His Word) He does not make commitments that He does not keep.(Heb.6:16-18, Num.23:19) The reason it took 4,000 years for God to commit is because He always works six days, and rested on the seventh. (Gen.1-2) He cannot change! (Mal.3:6, James.1:17) He told Moses to set aside the seventh day of the week for rest.(Exod.16:26) The Feast days were in a week of months. (Seven months Lev.23) The Land was supposed to rest every seventh year.(Lev.25:1-7) This was a week of years. Therefore, why would God change His work patterns, when it came to Redemption plan. History has confirms this. It has been 6,000 years (6 days) since Adam fell into sin, (Review Phase 3) and we are preparing for the Second Coming and the thousand year rest. (The Millennium, The Seventh day)
